Welcome to the Taken Lands, a savage place plagued with horrors lurking every corner to snuff your life. And that’s just in the inner cities. Believe me, you do not want to know what is Out There.

You may also do so, as you have decided to join La Ronda, a secret society that uses its vast resources and knowledge to fight against everything that hides in the shadows.

Or at least that’s what the odd fellow that recruited you told you. So grab your cloak, don your tricorn hat, and raise that lantern, as the answers you seek are out there, in the fog, the darkness, and the jaws that clamp on your blurred memories.

What is La Ronda in gaming terms?

In game terms, La Ronda is a Gothic Horror game mode where player characters are members of a secret society founded by Count Niklaus Volker, whose mission is to investigate, discover, and eradicate evil in any of its many forms. Character backstories are grim; usually, they were recruited by Volker himself or by one of the Original Six after being aided or guided by any of them. They are committed and sworn to follow the Count’s cause with the intent that the denizens of the Taken Lands can hope for a better outcome.
